Located on the north-east coast of Lanzarote, Costa Teguise is one of the most important tourist centers on the island. Very close to the capital, it is characterized by its small coves of white sand or its entertainment venues, and a wide variety of gastronomic offer.
The current tourist center of Costa Teguise was born from the old Rio Tinto, an oral name that comes from the first tourist promotion in the area. More than half a century ago, they wanted to create a high-level tourist development here. César Manrique also played a part in this transformation of the area, building the Pueblo Marinero and collaborating in the construction of the Meliá Salinas hotel, a luxury hotel in the town.
Did you know that the Spanish Royal House has one of its residences here?
