GUIDED TOUR OF TEGUISE
2 HOURS DURATION – 25€ PER PERSON
At the beginning of the 15th century, soon after the Conquest of Lanzarote, the Normans decided to establish, in the old Acatife, the capital of the island.
This is how the main aboriginal center of the island became the capital and was renamed Teguise, as the last aboriginal princess of Lanzarote.
After becoming the first capital of Lanzarote, it left behind its agricultural traditions although it continued to preserve some of the main buildings and structures existing until that moment.
During the tour, you will have the opportunity to discover this beautiful corner of the island from different points of view. Together we will learn about the agricultural past of La Gran Aldea, its transformation into a stately city and also its importance from the religious point of view, visiting the churches and convents, but also discovering the origins of the crosses and the stories about the diabletes of Teguise .
In January 2020 it was included among the most beautiful towns in Spain.
