Activities at Tinajo

Tinajo is a municipality in the southwest of Lanzarote strictly linked to the Timanfaya eruptions.

The name of Tinajo is linked to the main volcanoes of the island: Los Cuervos, Montaña Colorada, Caldera Blanca, Tinguatón or Guiguan. But Tinajo is also associated with the beautiful town of Mancha Blanca, in whose church is the figure of the Virgen de Los Dolores, patron saint of the entire island.

Important from the agricultural point of view, in its municipality is also the town of La Santa, headquarters of the international surfing championship, El Quemao.
